Located in the scenic forested Appalachian foothills, Strouds Run State Park in rural Athens County offers over 2,000 acres of uninterrupted hardwoods sprawling over hills, valleys, and coves. The beautiful terrain, well-marked trails, and scenic lake provide visitors a unique wilderness escape in the splendor of Southeastern Ohio. Visit the park for camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, boating, hunting, biking, or GeoCaching.
Strouds Run State Park is pet friendly, but your pet MUST remain on a leash, and pet owners MUST clean up after their pets.

STROUDS RUN SHELTERS RESERVATIONS
To reserve a shelter, please register online at www.ohiostateparks.org or call 1-866-644-6727. All shelters include a standing charcoal grill. Only Bobcat Shelter has an electrical outlet.
Bulldog Shelter: This shelter is the largest and is located at the front of the park, closest to Athens. It has 12 picnic tables and NO ELECTRICAL OUTLETS.
Bobcat Shelter: The shelter by the boat ramp/boat rental area is the Bobcat Shelter. It has nine (9) picnic tables and one (1) ELECTRICAL OUTLET.
Lakeview Shelter: This shelter is located at the end of the beach parking area, and has six (6) picnic tables and NO ELECTRICAL OUTLETS.
BOAT STORAGE RESERVATIONS:
Boats with up to a 10-hp limit are permitted on 161-acre Dow Lake. There is no fee for launching from the boat ramp.
